HAY there! Can you help us give a hand?
Farmcraft are joining the Burrumbuttock Hay Runners (BHR) charity hay run in July 2021. We’re donating HAY to our graziers still battling drought in north west QLD.
Our Managing Director – Alistair Ross – is donating a trailer of hay, and is driving the Farmcraft road train in the hay run. The charity run will now arrive in Ilfracombe in outback Queensland on 8 July 2021, and also deliver much needed hay to the surrounding areas. The plan is for trucks to head off from Ilfracombe to outlying places including Boulia, Kynuna, above Winton, Aramac, Muttaburra and Isisford on July 9.
And while things have turned around somewhat, "it's still very patchy and a lot of farmers have missed out (on rain)" said Brendan Farrell, founder of the Burrumbuttock Hay Runners.
**IMPORTANT UPDATE** NEW HAY RUN DATE!
Brendan Farrell (aka Bumpa), has announced that the hay run to North West QLD will now go ahead in July this year.

Who are the Burrumbuttock Hay Runners?
THE BHR STORY
In 2014 Brendan ‘Bumpa’ Farrell heard about a farmer in Bourke (NSW) that was struggling in the drought. He contacted the farmer and offered to bring him a truckload of hay to help him out. From that, the Burrumbuttock Hay Runners was born. Since that date in 2014 they have completed 11 successful hay runs to help drought affected farmers all over NSW & QLD.
BHR is about mates helping mates in times of need. Farmers impacted by drought often struggle to ask for help & many due to the financial strain of trying to keep the farm afloat also battle mental health issues.
Brendan & the BHR team know that the hay they deliver will only provide temporary relief but it’s showing fellow Australian’s that someone cares about them. Brendan is very passionate about awareness and education, the team believe our Aussie Farmers are critical to our future in Australia.
